Phi Beta Iota: The diagram is missing the piece of the Silk Road that runs down the western border of Afghanistan through Herat (former capital of the Persian Empire) to the Iranian port of Chabahar, through which trade with India is expanding rapidly. The Pakistani port of  Gwadar, built by the Chinese, has been characterized by corruption and severe inefficiencies in through-put.
