In the Pentagon’s new budget, the Air Force won and the Navy and Army lost (Washington Post, by Dan Lamothe, 09 Feb 2016)

This general ‘takes umbrage’ at the notion the U.S. military has been gutted (Washington Post, 09 Feb 2016)

Phi Beta Iota: The Air Force is a disaster, unable to accomplish any of its missions, from moving the Army to providing air superiority to securing the satellites — the pork pie we call defense is out of control — 60% of the disposable budget, 16% of the total budget, at the same time that the infantry, the 4% of the force that takes 80% of the casualties, gets 1% of the total Pentagon budget. This is not just disgraceful, it is treason — a complete betrayal of the public trust.
